Poly life begins ..

tink poly is easier den JC? tink poly can slack? tink in poly dun need 2 learn language? WELL THINK AGAIN MAN! dat was wat i tot too .. lol .. the first 3 weeks of poly was really rough man .. maybe cuz i'm in a course which i dun hav and background knowledge and nt my interest oso .. the good thing abt my interior design course, is dat we hav a studio, dun need 2 go 2 so many different class room for lectures .. only for language & communication and computer aided presentation and design, den we need 2 shift class .. yes, in poly, u learn language/oral and communication .. sian man .. but it's gd in helping out wif ur presentations .. another good thing abt my course is dat, we have no test and exams .. all our work are in-course stuff .. projects, projects and more projects .. there are pro and cons lah for this .. but this 3 weeks was rough for me man .. here goes ..

first week

Project: Group Project, Go to specific location and take pictures on da theme HAPPY or SAD and sketch 2 close up and 2 general views of the place .. (dateline: friday of dat week)

well, my grp got SAD as our theme, den from da different sealed envelope, lucky dip, we got da destination LITTLE INDIA! i tried 2 stay optimistic abt it lah .. cuz little india got more happy stuff den sad stuff .. lol .. when my grp went down to little india da next day, lol .. my night mare came true lah .. nt much pictures 2 take .. so we juz take wat we can take lor .. quite shagged oso .. den my sketching oso like shit .. den after da next day my grp plan out how we want 2 present our work .. cuz we need to have some abstact photos pin up on board and have a powerpoint presentation .. out abstract photos ..

we tot we only had 2 present da powerpoint only, dat's wat all da other grps tot too .. lol .. in the end we need 2 present da abstract photos pin up .. lol all nt prepared so my grp screwed up in presentation during da critic session .. lecturers say the like our photos, alot of hidden meaning of sadness .. one lecturer said our presentation is boring .. lol.. OUCH man .. dat really hurts alot man when i heard dat .. but wat da hell .. da truth is we aint prepared, oh well .. dat sentence kept staying in my mind .. really demoralized me alot .. even though, da lecturers told us 2 like dun take dis comment to hard, go and work on it .. lol ..

week 2

Project: make 3 models out of 1 piece of 300mm x 300mm white cardboard and 1 piece of 300mm x 300mm grey cardboard for each model .. follow one of this 3 rules : all joints muz be 90 degrees OR all joints muz be non - 90 degrees OR all planes muz be connected by lines .. + sketches for each models(cannot choose rule, selected for u already, mine was da non 90 degrees joints. date line: friday)

first model ..

i didnt dare to start cutting first .. cuz i wanted 2 plan out how i want 2 cut and da concept of my model, cuz it was required for us 2 present out models .. den one of da lecturers told us dun plan .. juz cut and use ur imagination .. lol .. i ask da lecturer, "if cut cut cut, den cut wrongly, HOW?" da whole class laugh .. lol .. in the end it really happen to me .. lol .. i ask da lecturer 2 crit my work .. he say 2 static already .. needs to be more dynamic .. it means like da model have no feeling, no force .. too regular and symetrical ..

second model ..

i really tot i did well for dis one .. lol .. cuz i plan for dis one dis time .. lol .. but den lecturers still say too static still .. den i explain da concept oso wrong .. lol

3rd model ..

ARRRRRGHHH!!!!!! 4GOT 2 BRING BACK MY CARDBOARD BACK HOME 2 CUT!!!!! i was so nervous dat i cudnt tink of conept and design .. lol i started to cry lah .. cannot tahan da stress .. cuz need 2 hand in da next day .. so da next day i rushed down to da studio and fasted do .. den come out dis shit .. which is oso too static .. lol .. lecturer advice me 2 do a 4th model at home wif remaining cardboard .. cuz he say it's a serious problem .. he wants 2 me 2 move out from this "static" thinking .. ask me dun tink of concept, do something dat is aesthically pleasing to da eyes .. den tink of concept ..

4th model ..

YAY a lil success .. more dynamic now! haha!

but compared to ALL my other frends, i suck da most man ..

week 3

Project: making of final model out of design from da first 3 models .. using 300 x 300mm of acrylic, medium density fibre board, cardboard .. (dateline: actually thursday, den become friday)

here's da prob .. monday public holiday, cannot use workshop .. plus we can only use workshop during tutorial classes .. 4 interior design classes sharing ONE PATHETIC WORKSHOP! tuesday, out tutorial quite late, by den class 01 and 02 using da workshop already .. cuz 01 and 02 having same time table, but different from 03 and 04 .. 03 and 04 share da same time table .. i in 04 .. den hafta compete wif them for da workshop .. same for wed, wednesday we had no tutorial at all at first .. but den luckily during one of da lectures, lecturer allowed us 2 use da workshop .. but den 01 and 02 were already there .. den 3.15pm - 4.30pm we had some STD/ AIDS talk .. lol waste 1hr of my time in da workshop .. workshop closes at 5 pm all da time .. lol cannot stay late over there .. sian .. luckily lecturers extend date line to friday .. den thursday, 03 and 04 got "aquisition" of da workshop first! *evil laughter* .. den we all selfish liao when 01 and 02 came down 2 da workshop .. friday i finish my model, den juz found out dat da model muz have cardboard in it too .. LOL .. in the end had 2 waste my time 2 do some modifications .. den suppose 2 do 4 pieces of drawing .. but den did 2 only .. lol ..
heck care lah ..

finally .. completed .. haha .. sigh of relief man .. damn shagged and stress .. phew ..
